    Friday, March 22nd 2019:

    -Attention SCWest students: April 4th is Lucky Tray Day in the cafeterias.  Students that buy a breakfast or lunch will be eligible to win a free snack or drink under $1 or a prize.

    -Hey SCW! Are you interested in cheering on your fellow Warriors? Tryouts for the Cheer team for the 2019-2020 season will be Monday, April 1st - Thursday, April 4th, 2019 from 4-6:30 pm in the Aux Gym. This is the ONLY chance to tryout for next year, so be sure to come out and be a part of the team! Please contact Coach Stancil with any questions.

    -Lindenwood University, SCW, SCHS, and St. Charles Community College are partnering together to host author Sam Kean on Tuesday, April 30th at 6 PM on the Lindenwood Campus.  Kean writes books that include "funny, strange, and poignant stories to enliven science and science history for the audience."   SCW students who attend will be entered into a drawing for attendance prizes.  If you are interested in reading one of Mr. Kean's books and/or want more information, see Ms. Gates.

    -Attention all SCWest students:  If you have recently lost any items (clothing, water bottles, lunchboxes, etc.), please come to the main office to claim them.  You will need to be able to describe your item.

    -Attention all SCWest students that received a Cookie Gift Certificate for your Grit Card:  All certificates must be redeemed thru the regular lunch lines, not from the Merchandising lab snack booth. 

    -All SCWest students:  The Merchandising Lab now has an online store where you can buy spirit gear!  Check out the SCWest Trading Post at https://stcharlessd.revtrak.net/high-schools/st-charles-west-high-school/st-charles-west-hs-trading-post/#/list  Any additional questions see Mr. Martin and/or the Merchandising Lab class. 

    Club News

    -Join Friends of Rachel & Game Enthusiasts Club for Trivia Night on April 8th!  Doors open at 5:30pm and we will be playing from 6–8pm.  See Ms. Gates to reserve a table for a team of 4-6 students or staff; all participants will pay $2 at the door to play.  Trivia, prizes, food, games & fun for all who attend!! 

    ***Mr. SCWest has been postponed to Wednesday, April 24th at 7PM in the Auditorium.  If you have already volunteered to be a contestant for your club/class/sport, check that date to be sure you are still available to participate.  Stay tuned for more information to come!***

    -Science Club:  Will meet after school on Monday’s in room #B112.

    -Girls Who Code: Every Monday at 2:30pm in C108.

    -FBLA: Will meet every B-Day Tuesday. 

    -FCCLA: Will meet after school every Tuesday in room #C114.  All are welcome! 

    -FOR (Friends of Rachel) Club:  Will meet on Tuesday’s during AIP in the Guidance Office.  If you are interested in joining, please come by!

    -Renaissance: Will meet after school on Thursday’s in room #A101.

    -StuCo:  Will be meeting this semester on B Day Thursdays in the library during AIP. See Ms. Gates or Miss Leu for a pass before AIP on B Day Thursdays to attend.  All students are welcome!

    Guidance News

    -Attention 9-11 graders Reading Skills and Speed reading programs are being offered this summer. Learn the best way to take notes, study for tests, and read fiction, non-fiction, and textbooks. You will be able to complete homework more quickly and easily, get better grades, and enjoy reading more! Dates: Wed., May 29 - June 26, 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. Call 1.800.903.0162 register.     -Attention Seniors: Now is the time to sign in to your Parchment account and request your 7th Semester Transcript be updated and sent.

    -Attention Seniors:  There is 1 more information night in Spring 2019 – on April 16th.     -All SCW Students:  Please join the Google classroom for your graduation year! Example, Seniors join Class of 2019. Check your email for the code to join. All counseling updates, reminders, and enrollment for next year will be completed through the Google classrooms. See Mrs. Moran with any questions.
