Mrs. Tifani Herbert
EARLY CHILDHOOD CAREERS INSTRUCTOR
Mrs. Herbert’s interest and passion in teaching came about years before her graduation from St. Charles West High School. She received a bachelor’s in elementary education at Lindenwood, and earned certifications in early childhood and special education. She later earned her master’s as a special education instructional specialist, preschool thru 4th grade. She worked five years in special education at the high school level as well as more than 12 years teaching 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade. In 2016, Mrs. Herbert brought her wealth of experience and passion for teaching to Lewis & Clark as the Early Childhood Careers program instructor.
Mrs. Herbert is married and has one son. She enjoys spending quality time with her family which includes boating in the summer and cheering on her son’s various athletic events.
“I love being a part of Lewis & Clark because it provides students the ability to try out career interests and lay the foundation for a solid career. As the ECC instructor, I am afforded the opportunity to teach, guide, and observe high school students in a career working with children. I feel that all of my work in the education field has landed me in the place I was meant to be so I can have a small part in helping to inspire tomorrow’s teachers!”
