    -Attention SCW students: Have you lost anything this year?? We have A LOT of items in the lost and found (Main Office). If you’ve lost something this year, please stop by the Main Office and describe your item. **ALL UNCLAIMED ITEMS WILL BE DONATED OVER WINTER BREAK! STOP BY THE MAIN OFFICE AND CLAIM ANY LOST ITEMS ASAP!!**

     

    -Attention SCW students & staff: The St. Charles West Band will host their 36th Annual Arts, Crafts & Vendor Fair on Saturday, December 10th from 9:00am-3:00pm. There will be over 250 crafter, artisan and vendor booths. Homemade holiday cookies will be for sale and attendance prizes will be drawn. Click HERE for a flyer.

     

    -Attention SCW students & staff: Key Club is sponsoring a Toys for Tots drive! The donation box is located in the Main Office, and only new and unwrapped toys are accepted. The pickup date is unknown at the moment but will most likely be around the 13th of December. Let’s spread some holiday cheer!

    -Hello SCW Students! SCW Prom is putting on a Digital Dozens Fundraiser with Krispy Kreme Donuts. Use THIS LINK TO ORDER to purchase your Digital Dozen(s) for $10 per dozen. Once you place your order, you will get a redemption code sent to your email. When you are ready to redeem (there is no expiration date!), you can head over to your favorite Krispy Kreme, show them the redemption code, and pick yourself up a nice fresh dozen of donuts!     Club News

     

    Art Club We meet Monday and Tuesdays after school in H108. Come join us once a week or both days! We have lots of projects going this semester including garden sculptures, murals, our homecoming float, artwork for the play, and more! Of course you can always just come to make art and hang out with cool people. See or email Ms. Martin (ashmartin@stcharlessd.org) if you have questions or need more information.

     

    -D&D (Dungeons & Dragons Club): We will meet on Tuesdays from 2:30-4:00 in room B117. For more information, join our Google Classroom (code is zkejq55).

     

    -FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America): Please join our Google classroom @  Class code  zqefhpy  for meeting details and other important information. Meetings held on B-day Thursdays in room C108.

    -StuCo Members: Please sign up if you can help to provide gifts for our adopt-a-family. You can see the list on the StuCo Google Classroom (join code: elpqmii) or stop by the library. All gifts should be delivered to Mrs. Bourgeade or Ms. Gates by Monday, December 12th.

     

    -StuCo: We will meet TOMORROW (12/6) during AIP. All students are welcome to attend. If you are not a regular attending member, ask Mrs. Bourgeade or Ms. Gates to add you to the AIP list.

    Classroom News

     

    ***SCW Students: The Learning Lab is available to ALL students who may need a little extra help with assignments, need test accommodations or a quiet place to work. It is located in the Library Classroom. If you would like to use the Lab during a test, please complete this Google Form at least 1 hour PRIOR to your test time. The Learning Lab is CLOSED during 1st lunch.*** 

     

    ***Attention SCW students: The MAC Scholars Homework Academy will offer free homework and tutoring help on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-4 pm in the library. There will be staff and peer tutors available to assist students in various subjects. Students who may need help with a subject or homework are encouraged to attend.*** 

     

    ***Attention SCW Students & Staff: Please add the SCW Library Google Classroom with this invite link. Even if you had added this in the past, you will need to re-join since email addresses have changed. The Library Google Classroom will provide access to library resources, research lessons, and instructions for accessing resources at home.  See Ms. Gates if you need any help.***

     

    ***SCW Students: If you borrow a chromebook or charger from the library for the day, they should be returned by the end of the school day.*** 

     

    ***SCW Students & teachers: Have you read a book that you would love to recommend to others? Stop by the library to complete a Book Recommendation form.  Student and teacher recommendations will be highlighted in the library. Share your book love!***

     

    ***Students at SCW are not encouraged to bring cell phones or other electronic devices to school. If students choose to bring such items, they should be turned off and securely stored out of sight during the school day. Cell phones may be used before school, after school, during passing periods and at lunch only.***

     

    Guidance News

     

    -Tuesday, December 6th: The MAC Scholars meeting originally scheduled for Monday, Dec. 5th, will be RESCHEDULED for TOMORROW, Tuesday, Dec. 6th in Computer Lab A. The topic will be ACT Prep Tips.

     

    -Thursday, December 8th: "Focus On Your Future" vocational session during AIP in Computer Lab A. The guest speaker will be from ABF Security and will discuss careers in the security industry including low voltage wiring, security systems, home automation, and installations. Email your counselor to attend or ask your AIP teacher for permission to attend.

    -Attention SCW Student Athletes! Join the NCAA on December 14th from 6-7 p.m. eastern time (5-6pm Central Standard/our time) for a webinar for college-bound student-athletes and their families. The discussion will include a review of the most recent COVID-19 automatic waiver relief. They'll also go over requirements you must meet to pursue your dreams of studying and competing at an NCAA Division I, II or III school. Click here to register.
