    Thursday, May 12th 2022:

     -Attention all SCW students: The Final Exam schedule is available in the main office for pickup. Be sure to read through all forms; front and back. If you have any questions just ask.

    -Attention all SCW Students: Yearbooks are still available if you didn't buy one. Please stop by and see Mrs. Bildner in H110. Yearbooks are $60 and we only have about 70 left, once they are gone, we won't be ordering any more. 

    ***The Marching Warriors are excited to announce Scott Stratton-Henderson has been selected to be the Drum Major for the Marching Warriors in the Fall of 2022.  Congratulations Scott, under your leadership the Marching Warriors will no doubt be looking forward to another successful season!***

    -SCW Students: Be sure to return (or renew for the summer if you are not graduating) any library books that you have checked out.  An email has been sent to you if you currently have books out and/or library fines for lost materials or color copies. See Ms. Gates if you have any questions.

    -Renaissance will be recognizing SCW students who display specific character traits for Student of the Month. The character trait for May is Helpful

    -Attention all SCW student drivers: The back alley between Monroe and Jefferson is NOT to be used as an exit. If you have any questions, please stop by the Main Office.

    -Attention SCW: PTO is beginning to send the pink birds out within 10 miles of St. Charles West. The official Flamingo Flocking has begun, click HERE for more details! Any questions to scwflock@gmail.com

    -Attention all SCW Seniors: A big thank you to the 40 students that have already signed up for the after graduation lock-in, Traditions!! We are looking forward to celebrating you with food, fun activities and raffle prizes on June 4th. We want to remind you to sign up as early as possible for this free event! There are only two weeks left to register - Click HERE to review all the guidelines and submit your registration no later than May 20th. Any questions, send to scwseniors2022@gmail.com

    -Attention SCW drivers: Please be sure you have a parking pass visible in your car! We will be checking for parking passes regularly and will sticker those cars on our lot without a pass. If you do not have a parking pass yet, see Mrs. Meyer in the Finance Office before school, during AIP (with a pass from teacher), during lunch or after school (no later than 3pm). You will need a completed parking permit application, valid Driver’s License, proof of insurance and your license plate number. Since we are now into 2nd semester, the fee is $25 for the remainder of the year. All fees/fines need to be taken care of prior to purchasing your pass.  

    -Attention all SCW students: For attendance purposes, if you miss school for a medical appointment, please be sure to turn in a doctor’s note to Mrs. Arns. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Arns in the Attendance Office. 

    -Attention all SCW students: If you have a vacation planned during the school year, you will need to stop by the Attendance Office to get a vacation form from Mrs. Arns. This form requires signatures from all of your teachers and your principal, so please plan accordingly.

    -Attention all Junior and Senior students: If you plan to visit a college during school hours please stop by the Attendance Office and get a college visit form from Mrs. Arns. This form should be turned in to the Attendance Office 2 days prior to your college visit AND requires signatures from all of your teachers and your principal, so please plan accordingly.

    Club News

    -Art Club: Come join us any Monday or Tuesday in H108 after school to make some art and hang out with some fun people. The only days we don't meet are the first Monday of the month. Click here for a schedule of our activities and come join us anytime!

    -BSU (Black Student Union): BSU will be meeting in the Commons TOMORROW, Friday (5/13) during AIP. It is our last one before the BBQ, and we need your help because our seniors will be away at Six Flags. If you have never attended a BSU meeting, please see Mrs. Van Houten to get your name added to the list.

    -Dungeons and Dragons Club: Dungeons & Dragons club meets on Tuesdays from 2:30-4:30pm in Ms. Joseph's room, B117.

    -FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America): We will be meeting during AIP on B-Day Tuesday's! We are looking for a few amazing students who would like to participate in competitive business events against students from the area. Not only does FBLA membership look AMAZING on college applications, but if you enjoy any business topic...why not show others what a BOSS you really are in competition. Please don't let competing stress you out as MANY events are done online in the privacy of a classroom all by yourself. We are a low-stress, high caliber group of students. Come see what it's all about. 

    -FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes): We meet EVERY Friday at 6:30 am in room J129. We welcome everyone to join us for weekly pancakes, games, discussions about faith and sports, and prayer.

    -GEC: We will not meet again this week due to AP testing. We will meet next Thursday 5/19 for our final year end event.

    -GSA (Saint Charles West Gender Sexuality Alliance): We will meet on Monday’s from 2:30-3:30 in room A105.

    -StuCo: There will be no meeting this week. We will meet next week (5/19) for our final meeting.  We will be discussing ideas for Homecoming 2022.

    Classroom News

We do ask that you register beforehand, when possible, the week before so we can try to have the kind of help that you need available at the session you plan to attend. However, students are still welcome to walk-in on the day of the session even if they are not able to pre-register. To sign up, please see the link: https://bit.ly/3rl2g7S ***

    ***SCW Students: The Learning Lab is available to all students who would like to test in a smaller, quiet location. It is located in the Library Classroom. If you would like to use the Lab during a test, complete this Google Form at least 15 minutes PRIOR to your test time. The Learning Lab is CLOSED during 1st lunch.*** 

    ***SCW Students: Add the SCW Library Google Classroom (join code: cosh32v) for access to research resources, video tutorials, and database passwords for at home use.  Through the classroom, you can get help for the electronic resources available 24/7.  Email or see Ms. Gates during AIP if you need additional help.***

    ***Students at SCW are not encouraged to bring cell phones or other electronic devices to school.  If students choose to bring such items, they should be turned off and securely stored out of sight during the school day.  Cell phones may be used before school, after school, during passing periods and at lunch only.***

    ***Any student who thinks they may need a tutor, don't delay your success!  Stay ahead of the game and sign up with your counselor for a tutor today!***

    Guidance News

    -Attention SCW Students: The Joshua Nelson Leaders In Action Community Scholarship is now available to any SCW senior and will recognize a student who has demonstrated academic excellence and is actively serving as a leader within his/her school and/or community. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to an eligible SCW senior who will attend a college or university in the fall of 2022. The deadline to apply is 5pm on Monday, May 16th.     -Attention straight A students: The Cardinal Ticket Vouchers have arrived. Mrs. Ward is putting your name on the AIP List for this week. Congratulations!!

    -Attention SENIORS: This is a reminder that if you have applied for college, remember to sign on to your Parchment account and request your updated transcript.

    -Any Freshman or Sophomore wishing to participate in the Irish Student Exchange next fall will need to submit the applications to Mrs. Spies ASAP. An email was sent home, prior to winter break.
