The Missouri Division of Developmental Disabilities was established in 1974 to support the unique needs of individuals, family members and caregivers who experience a developmental disability (DD). - Missouri VR
Assists individuals who have a physical or intellectual disability become employable. To be eligible for services, an individual must have a physical or intellectual disability that constitutes or results in a substantial impediment to employment and be able to benefit (in terms of employment outcome) from vocational rehabilitation services. Services include diagnostic and evaluation services (to help establish eligibility), physical restoration, guidance and counseling, and training. Training is provided in a variety of settings such as supported employment, on-the-job training, work adjustment training, trade schools, colleges, and job readiness training. Make certain that the intake process at DVR takes place in the last year of high school, prior to graduation. Eligible high school students may participate in on-the-job training.

The Family Acceptance Project
The Family Acceptance Project (FAP) is a research, education and intervention initiative that focuses on reducing risk and promoting well-being among LGBTQ children and youth by increasing family support. In partnership with the Institute for Innovation & Implementation, FAP has created a new website that provides resources for both LGBTQ youth and families to help increase support and understanding. The website features art by Sam Kirk that helps to translate FAP's research into a visually impactful message to promote acceptance and healthier futures for LGBTQ children and youth.

The Trevor Project
The Trevor Project is a leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25. Their trained counselors offer free and confidential support through a 24/7 hotline, chat and text messaging, as well as educational resources and advocacy efforts aimed at saving young LGBTQ lives.
988 Mental Health Crisis Line
988 is now the national three-digit dialing code for all mental health, substance use and suicide-related crises. 988 calls will be routed to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline centers in each state.
