During their weekly luncheon on April 9th, the Optimist Club of St. Charles proudly honored the winners of our 2024 essay contest.  Congratulations to Hardin Middle School students Marcella Sheils for clinching first place, followed by Elyse Boesch in second place, and Austin Chappell securing third place.

Marcella's outstanding essay has now advanced to the East Missouri District essay contest, where she could potentially earn a college scholarship. Accompanied by their proud parents, these students lit up the room with their inspiring words.

The essay prompt, "Optimism: How it Connects Us," sparked profound reflections and meaningful connections.
