Ashely Jones hired as Assistant Superintendent of Special ServicesThe St. Charles School District is pleased to announce the approval of Ashley Jones as the new Assistant Superintendent of Special Services. The decision was made by the St. Charles School District Board of Education at their December 14th meeting.

Ashley Jones brings a wealth of experience and a passion for special education to her new role. She currently serves as the District’s Special Education Coordinator. Prior to that position, Jones worked in special education at the Raytown, Fort Zumwalt, Independence, Blue Springs and Raymore-Peculiar School Districts for 14 years. 

"We're very excited to have Mrs. Jones in this position," said Dr. Jason Sefrit, City of St. Charles School District Superintendent. "She has shown a deep passion for special education throughout her career and we feel she is the best person to lead this department."

 

Jones will succeed Julie McClard, who will be retiring at the end of July 2024. McClard has 10 years of service to the District and 26 years total in public education, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and excellence.

In her new role as Assistant Superintendent of Special Services, Ashley will continue to champion the District's mission of providing high-quality education and support to all students. She will work closely with educators, parents, and community partners to ensure that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

"I look forward to the opportunity to serve our district in this new role and am grateful for the opportunity to do so,” Jones said.
