Jefferson Intermediate School student and Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County member Everett Martin has been named the 2026 Missouri Boys & Girls Clubs Junior Youth of the Year.

Blackhurst Elementary is celebrating a major milestone. After closing in 2007 due to low enrollment, we reopened our doors for the 2011-2012 school year. This year marks its 15th year of serving students and families since that reopening.

Three students at St. Charles West earned spots in the Missouri All-State Jazz Ensemble, with one additional student recognized as an alternate. This honor is reserved for the very best in the state.

The Board of Education of the School District of the City of St. Charles will attend the MSBA Annual Conference on Thursday, October 23, 2025, through Saturday, October 25, 2025, at The Westin and Sheraton of Kansas City at Crown Center in Kansas City, MO.

A hearing will be held at 5:45pm, September 11, 2025 at 400 North Sixth Street, St. Charles, Missouri, at which time citizens may be heard on the property tax rates proposed to be set by the St. Charles R-VI School District. The tax rates are set to produce the revenue required by the budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025.

Congratulations to our 2025 Missouri Seal of Biliteracy recipients from SCW and SCHS. These exceptional seniors demonstrated high levels of proficiency in both English and another language, earning them the prestigious Seal of Biliteracy. This achievement not only celebrates their dedication to language learning and cultural understanding but also earns them 6–18 post-secondary credits and recognition from Missouri employers.

The Board of Education of the School District of the City of St. Charles will hold its regular session meeting on Thursday, May 8, 2025, and a special closed session meeting on May 19.

St. Charles West's Elizabeth Babcock recently earned her Gold Award, the highest honor in Girl Scouts. Inspired by her years volunteering in food pantries, Elizabeth saw firsthand the need for more balanced, nutritious options. So she took action in a big way. She partnered with Care to Learn - St. Charles to develop Pantry Meal Kits: easy-to-use, educational kits designed to help families create wholesome meals with pantry-stable ingredients.

The SCSD Board of Education put Proposition SCSD on the April 8, 2025 ballot. Proposition SCSD is a no-tax-rate increase bond issue that would provide $90 million to improve and maintain our school facilities without raising the current property tax rate.
