Our Program

Our goal as a program is to empower parents in their essential role as their child’s first teacher. We want to give all children the best start to their lives through education, partnership, and collaboration with their parents. Learn more about the four essential components of our program.

Home Visits

Our home-visiting professionals meet families where they are comfortable, typically in their homes. During visits, parent educators assess family needs and partner with parents to set family goals. Home visitors provide necessary information and resources to help parents support the emotional, behavioral, and physical development of their children. Each personal visit includes a focus on parent-child interaction, development-centered parenting, and family well-being.

Developmental Screenings

We provide developmental screenings within our home visiting program and early childhood center. This opportunity provides parents with information about their child’s development and early detection of developmental delays.

To request a Dial-4 Developmental Screening for your child between 3 years old and pre-kindergarten age, please call Parents as Teachers at 636-443-2933.

Resource Connection

We connect families to area resources that can provide supportive partnerships and services for the whole family.

Group Connections

Throughout our program year, we host a variety of group connections that include parent education nights as well as family activities.
